. Changez Khan, original name Temuchin, (born 1162, near Lake Baikal, Mongolia—died August 18, 1227), Mongolian warrior-ruler, one of the most famous conquerors of history, who consolidated tribes into a unified Mongolia and then extended his empire across Asia to the Adriatic Sea. Changez Khan was a warrior and ruler of genius who, starting from obscure and insignificant beginnings, brought all the nomadic tribes of Mongolia under the rule of himself and his family in a rigidly disciplined military state. He then turned his attention toward the settled peoples beyond the borders of his nomadic realm and began the series of campaigns of plunder and conquest that eventually carried the Mongol armies as far as the Adriatic Sea in one direction and the Pacific coast of China in the other, leading to the establishment of the great Mongol Empire. When the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Mustarshid rebelled in 1127, Zangi supported the sultan, and the victorious Maḥmud II rewarded Zangi by giving him the governorship of Mosul. Next, the key city of Aleppo submitted to Zangi’s authority to secure military protection against a possible Frankish Crusader conquest. Review: The End of India

This is the Urdu translation of Khushwant singh's latest controversial book The End of India, The End of India provides a fearless, sometimes vulgar, admission and realistic portrayal of the cumulative growth of Hindu extremism in India, especially through the past two decades. I call it an "admission" - before anything else - insofar as Singh does not write like some highbrow, accusatory outsider to the Indian cauldron; he views himself as much a victim as a default social accessory to the declining communal situation in India.
"India is going to the dogs," he screams, adding, "and unless a miracle saves us, the country will break up. It will not be Pakistan or any other foreign power that will destroy us; we will commit hara-kiri" (pp 3-4).
The immediate cause for Singh's despondence is the Gujarat riots of 2002 and the politics that followed them. In the riots, Hindus mutilated and sexually tortured a great many Muslims in addition to massacring more than 3,000 of them, often with the support of the state. The riots themselves were in retaliation against the torching of a train allegedly performed by some Muslim miscreants at the railway station in Godhra. The fire killed scores of politically mobilized Hindus that were going by the train to the controversial religious site of Ayodhya.
"The carnage in Gujarat ... and the subsequent landslide victory of Narendra Modi in the elections will spell doom for our country," Singh warns (p 3). Throughout the rest of the book, however, he goes well beyond auditing the forces of Hindutva to give us a sketch of the evolution of the religious question through the regional history of the state of Punjab, the subcontinental Independence Movement, and the history of post-colonial India.

Review of Ghazaliyat Hafiz Shiraz

This is an Urdu translation of Ghazaliyat Hafiz Shiraz , translated by Dr. Khalid Hameed,  Hafiz Muhammad Shamas Uddin alias Hafiz Shirazi hails from Shiraz, Iran. His date of birth is not clear in the history. He was probably born between 724 AH to 729 AH. His father name was Bahauddin, who was a merchant in Isfahan, Iran.He left some 500 Ghazals, 42 Rubaiyees, and a few Ghaseedeh's, composed over a period of 50 years. Hafez only composed when he was divinely inspired, and therefore he averaged only about 10 Ghazals per year. His focus was to write poetry worthy of the Beloved. In his childhood he had memorized the Koran by listening to his father's recitations of it, therefore he gained the title of Hafez (a title given to those who had memorized the Koran by heart.). He also had memorized many of the works of his hero, Saadi, as wells as Attar, Rumi and Nizami.

Adam Zad Short Review:

Adam Zad is a social and cultural Novel written by popular poet and novelist Aitbar Sajid. the main character of the novel is a common man belonging to the lowest class or slave like class in a feudal society  (Jageer darana muashra), he could only see the misdoings and unjustice but can’t stop . he had no way to protest or correct things, at last  one day he met a person and that changed his life forever. he raised his voice against the crimes of feudal land lords.
Adam Zad is a very interesting novel, if you start reading, you will not stop untill the end, the main character of the novel is not tied with a special place, village or city.

during the english rule on the sub continent, the rulers made a system, they gave land and properties to their loyal persons, thus they made some people owners and some people slaves, from 1857 that system is running in india and pakistan.

Shikwa Jawab e Shikwa Review:

Shikwa  (Complaint) and Jawab-e-Shikwa (Response to the Complaint) are Urdu language poems written by Allama Muhammad Iqbal, which were later published in his book Kulliat-e-Iqbal. The poems are often noted for their musicality, poetical beauty and depth of thought.
Dr. Iqbal used wonderful Urdu vocabulary in this poem and highlighted achievements of Muslims. In Shikwa, he played an oppressed and frustrated  Muslim who is being complaining to Allah Almighty. In its second part, he assumed if Allmighty Lord Himself is addressing to this complaining Muslim and answering to his protest. Unfortunately, instead of getting some point out of this wonderful work, some rigid and narrow minded so called Muslim scholars of that era declared Dr. Iqbal a rebellious minded person who is being disrespectful to God. But in the long run, this poem proved its worth and it is still applicable for the whole Muslim world even today.
