    Review: Changez Khan

. Changez Khan, original name Temuchin, (born 1162, near Lake Baikal, Mongolia—died August 18, 1227), Mongolian warrior-ruler, one of the most famous conquerors of history, who consolidated tribes into a unified Mongolia and then extended his empire across Asia to the Adriatic Sea. Changez Khan was a warrior and ruler of genius who, starting from obscure and insignificant beginnings, brought all the nomadic tribes of Mongolia under the rule of himself and his family in a rigidly disciplined military state. He then turned his attention toward the settled peoples beyond the borders of his nomadic realm and began the series of campaigns of plunder and conquest that eventually carried the Mongol armies as far as the Adriatic Sea in one direction and the Pacific coast of China in the other, leading to the establishment of the great Mongol Empire. Review: Mother Teresa a Biography

Modern popular culture promotes celebrity: people who are well known for being well known. Stirring up controversy or scandal and then talking or writing about it enhances celebrity status.Mother Teresa: a Biography pdf is available for free at Peshawar Library. Yet, the cult of celebrity does not and cannot adequately explain the hold that a tiny nun from Albania had, and retains, on the conscience of the world.
For a woman who neither sought nor expected recognition, Mother Teresa has exercised an enormous influence around the world. Her missionary work on behalf of the poorest of the poor in India was larger than life, giving rise to questions about how her own experiences prepared her to carry it out and to accomplish all that she did. By all accounts, Mother Teresa was intelligent but passive and self-effacing. She had been an adequate but undistinguished teacher, a commonplace woman, and an ordinary nun, prone to knocking over candles during religious services. Yet, Mother Teresa had one attribute that set her apart in a world often forgetful of God: a deep, abiding faith.

Turkey the Quest for Identity Review:

The Ottomans were a rare imperial people who had no homeland to retreat to as their empire waned in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Other imperial peoples had returned to various homelands: the British to their island base when they were forced to decolonize; the French to France, the Spanish to Spain, and so on. By the twentieth century, the Ottomans had no homeland for they had originated as tribal peoples who, for a variety of reasons, had been forced to migrate from the steppes of Central and Inner Asia and went in different directions. Some of these tribal confederations, including the ones who came to be known as Ottoman (Osmanl ) adopting the name of their leader, Osman (d.1324), migrated into the Islamic world and adopted Islam.

Review: Jang e Azeem Awwal

Jang e Azeem Awwal or World War I also known as the First World War or the Great War, was a global war originating in Europe that lasted from 28 July 1914 to 11 November 1918. Contemporaneously described as "the war to end all wars",
it led to the mobilisation of more than 70 million military personnel, including 60 million Europeans, making it one of the largest wars in history. It is also one of the deadliest conflicts in history, with an estimated nine million combatants and seven million civilian deaths as a direct result of the war, while resulting genocides and the 1918 influenza pandemic caused another 50 to 100 million deaths worldwide.
Once war was declared, many socialists and trade unions backed their governments. Among the exceptions were the Bolsheviks, the Socialist Party of America, the Italian Socialist Party, and people like Karl Liebknecht, Rosa Luxemburg, and their followers in Germany.

Review Taj Mahal Book:

Taj Mahal . a Story of Love and Empire is a story of taj mahal history by Elizabeth Mann, This sad and romantic tale is as well-known as the Taj Mahal itself. It has been repeated for centuries by people all over the world. But the story of the Taj Mahal is larger, wilder, and more complicated. It begins in the tiny kingdom of Ferghana in the mountains of Central Asia. There, in 1483, a warlord was tending his pigeons in their roost that sat high on the wall of his fortress. Suddenly the ancient wall crumbled, and the roost toppled down. The pigeons escaped to freedom; the warlord fell to his death. His son Babur, just 11 years old, became the ruler of Ferghana. Rival warlords planned their attacks. An army led by a child seemed an easy conquest, but Babur was not an ordinary child. Babur was descended from two of the greatest conquerors the world had ever known, the Mongol tribal leader Chinghis Khan and the Muslim Turk Timur. In the 1200s, Chinghis Khan and his horsemen built an empire that stretched from the Pacific Ocean across Asia to Europe, and south to the Indus River in Hindustan (India). In the 1300s, Timur conquered most of Central Asia, then went on to plunder northern Hindustan.

A Brief History of Saudi Arabia Review:

A Brief History of Saudia Arabia is written by James Wynbrandt about the history of Saudia, Saudi Arabia is a desert country encompassing most of the Arabian Peninsula, with Red Sea and Persian Gulf coastlines. Known as the birthplace of Islam, it’s home to the religion’s 2 most sacred mosques: Masjid al-Haram, in Mecca, destination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, and Medina’s Masjid an-Nabawi, burial site of the prophet Muhammad. Riyadh, the capital, is a skyscraper-filled metropolis.
Saudi Arabia is a country in transition—slowly but steadily changing from within and increasingly flexing its muscle and influence regionally. The country has entered the new century as a pivotal regional power: The birthplace of Islam, it remains an important moral leader of the Muslim world, particularly the Arab arena; its response to domestic terrorism has shown that the monarchy has the drive to confront destabilizing elements within its borders; and the increasing value of its oil has provided financial and political security at home.
